About
Born November 10, 1983, in Longview, Texas, Miranda Leigh Lambert never imagined her life turning out as it has. Growing up in a small town by the name of Lindale, Texas, her parents ran a private detective company. She grew up listening to all sorts of country music and developing her love for it. Her dad was a song writer and guitarist. She participated in her first talent competition at the age of 10 and entered numerous contests following that. While still in high school, Lambert started her own band called Texas Pride. She was 17 at the time and began writing her own songs and learning to play guitar. In 2001, Lambert tried out for a music reality show called Nashville Star where she received second runner-up. At the time, she was not hoping to win due to the fact that the winner had to go in immediately after winning and record an album within a week; she didn't feel she was ready yet. In 2004, she released her first single called "Me and Charlie Talking". Her first major album came out a year later titled "Kerosene", which sold over 900,000 copies. She then went on tour with Keith Urban and George Strait. Her next album called "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" went straight to the charts and even won an ACM award for Album of the Year. In 2009, Lambert came out with another album titled "Revolution" which turned out to be the No. 1 country album at the time. She went on to marry country music singer Blake Shelton in 2011. Later in 2011, she joined a trio called Pistol Annies who released their hit album "Hell on Heels" in September. Her most recent album is called "Four the Record" which has taken home many No. 1 hits. She still remains one of country music's number one artists.
